We found this lovely Malcolm french provincial dresser at the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Niagara Falls and the cute sales person there was named “Chloe”. She was so friendly and after having a nice chat with her she sent us down the street to a great food truck called “Jenny’s” for lunch and it was fabulous!! Needless to say this is my third or fourth dresser of this kind. I just love the way the drawers on the front bow to two points and the detail in all those curves.
I used my go to Java Gel Stain for the top sealing it with Minwax Wipe on Polyurethane for protection and durability. The rest of the cabinet was given 2-3 coats of Annie Sloan Old White Premium Chalk Paint. I then waxed the cabinet with ASCP Soft Clear Wax and after some advise from my guru stockist in Hamilton Melanie Anderson, I used the General Finishes Van Dyke Brown Glaze on top of the wax to achieve this wonderful aged patina. To further give it some depth I distressed many of the edges with sandpaper to give it an even more aged look.
This piece measures: 37″W x 19″D x 47″H and compliments the end/night tables I posted yesterday.
Please, if you have any questions regarding this piece or any other that we have completed send us a line to studiopaint@yahoo.com. We would be happy to answer any of your questions you may have.

Hi there,
I have a Malcolm french provincial dresser I was about to post on kijiji. Are you still looking for more? It is painted, so would need strippingand sanding to get it back to wood. Just thought I’d ask in case!
Feel free to email me if you’re looking. Not sure what it’s worth.
Thanks,
Katy

I love this look! Can you tell me where you got your handles? Do you have a favorite store/website you like to shop at for handles?
Thanks!
Tammy
