This lovely piece painted in Trophy Milk Paint by Miss Mustard Seed was the second of two Jacobean pieces I painted for Patrizia and Domenic who live in Niagara-On-The-Lake. They recently renovated their century plus home- absolutely gorgeous!! I named this piece after one of their busy young sons named “Isaac”.
Patrizia chose this masculine colour in Trophy that once waxed revealed this rich deep grey/beige colour that will be home in their office. It’s not large but has a large open compartment behind two hinged doors for storage. Patrizia’s husband Domenic got a bit of a head start for me with this paint and applied the first coat of the milk paint with bonding agent before I arrived. I further applied two more coats of MMS Trophy. This colour is so misleading and if you were to judge it before the wax goes on you would think it was not what it was supposed to be in the powder bag. But boy does it transform after the wax has been applied. It literally changes 5 shades of rich loveliness once the wax is put on. The final product delivers this beautiful dark grey colour.
I hope this lovely trophy milk paint buffet “Isaac” will stay with you for many years to come Patrizia and Domenic!!
