This lovely vintage buffet made of solid is a solid Knechtel cabinet probably made in the 30’s or 40’s. It’s pretty details on the doors, curved feet and original hardware make it a classic piece for the eclectic shabby chic decorator.
We used the General Finishes Gel Stain for the first time. The colour we chose for this was the Java Gel with built-in polyurethane. It went on beautifully with only one coat!! The rest of the vintage buffet was painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in the Old White and distressed. It was then clear waxed for added durability.
This vintage buffet measures: 56″ W x 21″ D x 38″ H and has three drawers with one large one on the bottom of the buffet. The two large doors on the front open to one shelf reaching the entire width of the cabinet, deep and tall for many different uses. This would look amazing in a country, seaside, cottage, shabby chic decorating style in either the dining, eating or living rooms.
