This lovely lingerie dresser made by the Sklar Peppler Furniture Company here in Ontario probably in the 80’s is truly a special piece of furniture. It stands quite tall and has a jewelry compartment built-in on the top of the unit. If you’re a little short in stature, there is a mirror that is posted just under the lid that could help guide you to your diamonds!!!
This lovely French provincial lingerie dresser was found in Burlington on Chrisdon Court just off of New Street and Walkers line from a lady named Patti that bought it new back the 80’s. It’s an oak piece that is super heavy for its size.
The lingerie dresser measures 24″W x 18″ D x 56″H. I thought it would look great shabby “chiced” in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in a colour called Old White with the hardware sprayed in Rustoleum Antique Bronze. This piece has so much storage … all five of the drawers on the lingerie dresser are deep and long with lots of room for just about anything… including your underpants.
