Don’t get me wrong, but this painted hallway cabinet was great before but it’s simply spectacular now. My client Beverly from Niagara-on-the-Lake and formally from British Columbia where this cabinet was purchased wanted to see this cabinet freshened to match her new decor here in Ontario.
I first started by removing all the hardware and applying Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Original White which is a combination of Pure White and Old White. I applied another full coat then some touch ups in spots to make sure everything was covered well. After the white dried I began the magic of distressing and because the original colour of the cabinet was this duck egg blue it began to peek through the white. Beverly wanted a little less distressing than before so I only highlighted those great curves and details. The last step in this transformation was the addition of the Annie Sloan Clear Soft Wax for additional protection and durability.
Beverly must have been stored all her candles and lovely smelling things in the cabinet. It made my studio (garage) smell awesome the last couple of days.
